Our story
We came together through Facebook. Artur messaged Matus out of the blue, we clicked, and a few weeks later we started PactusAI together. Artur was finishing law at Charles University; Matus was wrapping up data science at ETH Zurich. Our first prototype was an LLM-powered contract generator, a fairly naive idea in hindsight.
Then came our first real client, and with them, clear feedback. Companies didn't need to generate contracts. They needed to handle the massive volume of documents they already had. So we pivoted.
Since then, we've gone through many iterations and made plenty of mistakes. We did research nobody asked for. Built things nobody needed. Slowly, we learned to build what actually matters.
In fall 2025, we released the first full version of the Pactus platform. Around the same time, we launched pravobot.cz, a legal chatbot for Czech law built on the same core.
